Peppermint For Nausea And Upset Stomach

Peppermint (Mentha piperita) is an aromatic herb from the mint family. This plant is used to add flavor or fragrance to foods, cosmetics soaps, toothpaste, mouthwashes, and other products (1). Its leaves have been used in medicine for several thousand years.

For this soothing tea, we simply need to boil 2 cups of water. Add 10 to 20 crushed fresh mint leaves. Turn off the heat, and let steep for 10 to 15 minutes or until desired strength is achieved. Strain leaves (or chew them if you don’t mind the texture and they are small). Serve warm with a drizzle of honey and squeeze of lemon (9).
