Some of us may have neglected our feet and don’t clean them properly. Due to these, our feet may have a darker color as compared to other parts of our body. To avoid the feeling of embarrassment brought about by these dark parts of the body, there are some natural remedies that we can try.
Raw Milk
Raw milk is the easiest home remedy to whiten the skin. It has lactic acid that acts as a whitening agent. Aside from being a great moisturizer, raw milk also removes dead cells from the skin.
Obtain this benefit by applying raw milk on the feet and wash after 20 min.
Lemon And Honey
Lemon juice is acidic and acts as a bleaching agent that will help to fade uneven pigmentation thereby making it useful in lightening and brightening the feet. On the other hand, honey has emollient properties that help keep the feet moisturized while its phenolic and flavonoid compounds have whitening effects.
This remedy requires us to create a paste by mixing 1 tbsp each of honey and lemon juice. Apply the paste all over the feet and then leave it on for 15 minutes. Wash with normal water.
Potatoes
Potatoes contain natural bleaching agents that help turn dark skin to a lighter one. Its vitamin C content inhibits melanin production in the skin thus lightening the skin tone.
Peel and grate the potato and then rub it on the feet. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Wipe the residue off and wash the feet with water.
Baking Soda
In addition to its bleaching properties, baking soda also possesses powerful antibacterial properties that help keep any harmful bacteria at bay and keep the feet clean.
Mix 1 tbsp of baking soda and juice of half a lemon. Apply the mixture on the feet and scrub the feet in circular motions for a couple of minutes. Leave it on for another 10 minutes before rinsing it off.
Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe vera gel contains essential minerals and vitamins that help lessens pigmentation by lowering melanin production in the skin. It has a natural depigmenting compound known as Aloin which is extremely effective when it comes to skin lightening.
Simply apply aloe vera gel onto the feet and wash after half an hour.
