How To Use Apple Cider Vinegar To Help Achieve A Beautiful Skin

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is a pantry staple. Aside from being very good for salad dressings, this superfood ingredient also deserves a spot on our bathroom vanity. It has been used to treat various skin conditions and has the ability to help make the skin healthy and smooth.

In addition to apple cider vinegar’s (ACV) anti-inflammatory properties, it also contains alpha hydroxy acid and acetic acid. These important components give ACV the power to exfoliate the skin, absorb excess oils, unclog blocked pores, and restore the proper pH levels of our skin. With the right pH, the outer layer of the skin, the acid mantle, becomes nice and healthy, thus giving our skin a bright and glowy look.

Here are some of the ways on how to use ACV to our skin:

Helps Heal Sunburn

When it comes to treating sunburns, ACV can help soothe the pain and quickly make the healing process.

Have a half a cup apple cider vinegar and mix it with 4 cups of water. Soak a washcloth with the solution and apply it on the affected area. Massage it for a while. Do this several times a day.

Helps Fight Age Spots And Wrinkles

The alpha hydroxyl acids in ACV helps in removing dead skin and age spots, thereby revealing healthy and glowing skin. It also works well in minimizing fine lines and wrinkles.

For this benefit, we need to dab a little apple cider vinegar on a cotton ball and apply it directly to the age spot and wrinkles. Leave it for 30 minutes and wash off with cool water. Do this twice a day for six weeks to achieve the best results.

A Potent Skin Toner

For this, we need to pour 1/4 a cup of organic ACV into a container and add equal part distilled or filtered water to dilute the vinegar. For those with sensitive skin, maybe more water is needed.

Use a regular cleanser to wash the face and then pour a little of the mixture on a cotton ball and apply it to the face. After the toner has dried, regular moisturizer can be applied.

Helps Prevent Acne And Pimples

A lot of people have problems with stubborn acne and pimples. ACV has antibacterial and antifungal substances that help keep the skin pores free from bacteria, oil, and dust.

Simply mix raw and unfiltered apple cider vinegar with filtered water in a bowl. Soak a cotton ball in it and apply it on the affected area. Leave it for 10 minutes and then wash with warm water. For best results, re-apply a few times daily.
