Health experts believe that our pH balance is extremely important. Since our body consists of 50-75% of water, it is logical to think that there is a relationship between ailments and body pH.
pH stands for power of hydrogen, which is a measurement of the hydrogen ion concentration in the body. It ranges from 1 to 14, with 7 considered to be neutral. When your body has a pH lower than 7, it is considered to be acidic and when it has over 7 it is considered as basic or alkaline. If you are keeping your body at the alkaline value, you’ll have good overall health.
How To Achieve An Alkaline pH Value
The type of food you eat can seriously affect your pH level. Raw and a balanced diet can help you achieve alkaline pH value. On the other hand, your body will become acidic if you always eat processed foods.
It has been found that it is easier to make your body acidic than alkaline. Fortunately, there were proven ways that could improve the process of becoming alkaline.
There are certain fruits that are initially acidic. However, their acidity is not connected to their alkalizing effect. Once these fruits are metabolized, they have the mineral structure that makes the human body become more alkaline. These acidic fruits include lemon, orange, grapefruit, lime, and tangerine. Some other fruits that have an alkalizing effect on our body are pineapple, pomegranate, strawberry, tomato, kiwi, and cranberry.
The combination of lemon and pineapple is very effective in alkalizing the body, thus disabling pathogens to expand and live in our body and give you more energy and a healthy body. These two are more efficient than each juice alone.
Among the list of acidic fruits, lemons are on top and are considered as the strongest detoxifier. It is packed with vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and phosphorus. It helps remove intestinal parasites, degrades gallstones, and fight cancer, constipation, stroke, heart issues, and many other diseases.
Pineapples are tropical fruits that are rich in vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and antioxidants. This fruit boosts the immune system, diminishes inflammation, improves bone health, stimulates digestion, cleanses the mucus, acts as a mild laxative, and has diuretic characteristics. Also, despite their sweetness, pineapples are low in calories.
