One of the best home remedies for hair thinning and hair loss is onion juice. Its sulfur content improves blood circulation, stimulates hair follicles and promotes hair regrowth.
Considered as one of the primary building blocks of hair, sulfur is needed for healthy collagen and keratin. Many amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein, have sulfur component, and large amounts of sulfur-containing amino acids can be found in keratin proteins.
According to the results of a number of studies, onions are useful for treating hair loss. Moreover, onions can also help in controlling issues like scalp infections, dandruff, and reverse premature hair graying.
In a study published in the Journal of Dermatology in 2002, researchers discovered that when onion juice is applied to the scalp of participants suffering from alopecia, they had a significantly higher rate of hair regrowth than those in the control group who used tap water. Onion juice was applied twice daily for two months and the results were better among males than females.
The recipe below will also make your hair smooth and shiny due to the addition of honey.
Honey is an emollient which means it seals moisture in your hair, thereby keeping it conditioned. This reduces breakage, which is often a cause for slower hair growth. It has rich antioxidant properties which prevent damage, keeping your scalp and hair healthy and strengthens the hair follicles, curbing hair fall. Furthermore, honey cleans the hair follicles by getting rid of impurities. This minimizes clogging, which is often a reason for hair loss.
