When talking about environmental science and anthropological study, Jane Goodall, Ph.D., DBE has one of the most impressive lists of accomplishments in this field. She is a British ethologist, known for her exceptionally detailed and long-term research on the chimpanzees of Gombe Stream National Park in Tanzania. She wrote a number of books and articles as well as became a recipient of numerous awards and a sensation in National Geographic Magazine, as she demonstrated a remarkable behavioral understanding of free-living chimpanzees.
Recently, Jane commented about the subversive and negative world of genetically modified foods (GMOs). A detailed expose of the lies behind FDA’s approval on these deadly induced seeds was written by her in a foreword in Steven Drucker’s book, Altered Genes, Twisted Truth.
Goodall condemns the entire process of genetic engineering – which essentially transforms nutritive foods into toxic impostors. She has become appalled as what she calls a ‘shocking corruption of the life forms of the planet’.
In addition to this, she said that in a GM process, foreign genes were added to plants to create toxins to fend off insects or provide them immunity to being sprayed with chemicals pesticides, therefore, fundamentally changing them. Jane complains that supporters of the technology have committed a ‘fraud’ by trying to give the false impression that these new plants are essentially the same as those created by conventional plant breeding.
She wrote like this:
“This very real difference between GE [genetically engineered] plants and their conventional counterparts is one of the basic truths that biotech proponents have endeavored to obscure. As part of the process, they portrayed the various concerns as merely the ignorant opinions of misinformed individuals — and derided them as not only unscientific, but anti-science.”
She further added that “‘Druker describes how amazingly successful the biotech lobby has been — and the extent to which the general public and government decision-makers have been hoodwinked by the clever and methodical twisting of the facts and the propagation of many myths. Moreover, it appears that a number of respected scientific institutions, as well as many eminent scientists, were complicit in this relentless spreading of disinformation.”
